Role Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and reliable Support Workers to provide person-centred care to adults with autism, learning disabilities, and complex needs in supported living and single-occupancy settings. This role involves delivering structured, proactive support to promote safety, independence, and meaningful daily engagement.
Essential Requirements:
- Level 1 or Level 2 British Sign Language (BSL) – mandatory
- Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism
- Ability to remain calm when supporting behaviours that challenge
- Flexibility to work 1:1, 2:1, community-based, and overnight shifts
- Strong communication skills
- Patient, empathetic, and professional approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and 2:1 support in line with care plans
- Assist with personal care and daily living tasks
- Promote emotional regulation using Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
- Support sensory and communication needs
- Maintain structured routines
- Complete accurate records and reports
- Work collaboratively with families and professionals
